I usually don’t use a Realtor…but
It was an absolute pleasure working with Pam Ryan Anderson, she took our direction and found us exactly what we were looking for. My family owns some 40 real-estate properties on the West Coast and we don’t usually like working with agents for the fact that we know what we want and know how to negotiate deals. When we arrived in Florida I had no intention of working with an Agent until my friend told me that “I HAD to” at least walk in the door and shake Pam’s hand. I did, though skeptical at first, and she started showing me houses. The first thing I noticed was that she would talk me out of houses I liked but had flaws I didn’t see. I have never experienced telling a realtor that I liked a house and have her tell me no. There were power lines near by and she pulled out some fancy device to show me the radiation levels in the house. She wasn’t just looking for a sale, she was looking out for us. She didn’t show us homes out of our price range, and she knew the area like the back of her hand so we didn’t spend time on houses in bad neighborhoods or declining zones. We found the perfect place that met ALL of our requirements. When it came time to negotiate terms, she was direct and gave great council, but still did as we requested with no hard feelings. It was exactly what we needed in order to close on our house. This experience has changed my attitude in working with real-estate agents, there are great ones out there and Pam is definitely one of them. If you are thinking of buying a home in Florida, make sure you go shake Pam’s hand first. – Affectionately, C.C.
